As a full-time kindergarten teacher, Mackayla discovered the therapeutic art of sourdough making during a challenging time in her life. Running this sourdough micro bakery wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of a few special people in my life.

First and foremost, my incredible boyfriend Nate. He’s not just my biggest cheerleader, he’s my partner in every sense. From early morning dough prep to late-night baking sessions, Nate is there every step of the way, helping me with anything and everything. Whether it’s washing the mountain of dishes, handling weekly bread drops, or just keeping me company when I’m working late (even if it means he's asleep on the couch), or staying awake to hear the timer go off, letting me catch a quick nap when I need it most. I truly couldn’t do this without him!

A huge shout-out grandma as well. Before I moved, my grandma and I lived next door, and she was my lifesaver—always offering me her oven to bake in and generously sharing ingredients when I was in a pinch. She’s also the one who helps me store my baking items. 

​

My mom, on the other hand, has been my rock since the beginning. Whether it's running multiple ovens to meet demand, decorating for pop-up events, organizing products, or simply offering a listening ear, she’s been there every step of the way. I am so grateful for her endless support!
